Academic Programs Management - Assessment, Planning, and Positioning
The assessment, planning, and positioning of the academic programs portfolio can not take place in a vacuum, nor can it be something an institution undertakes every 3-5 years. It needs to be an ongoing process by which programs and curricula are managed under the objective of continuous improvement to ensure that offerings 1) meet the demands of students, employers, and society; 2) are kept up to date and aligned with institutional strategy; and 3) are differentiated sufficiently from those of competitors to provide an institution with a competitive advantage.
